Yakiniku like!!, SOHO London
Project overview
We delivered the full restaurant fit-out for Yakiniku Like in Soho, London, located within one of the capital’s most vibrant and high-footfall dining districts. The project focused on creating a premium Japanese BBQ restaurant environment that reflects the brand’s fast, efficient, and quality-driven dining concept while meeting the operational demands of a busy central London location.
The works were delivered within a constrained urban setting, requiring careful coordination to meet programme, quality, and regulatory requirements while minimising disruption to surrounding businesses.
Design and concept
The interior design was developed to express Yakiniku Like’s distinctive brand identity through a contemporary interpretation of Japanese dining culture. Clean tiled wall finishes, warm timber tones, and bold illuminated branding elements were combined to create a modern, recognisable, and welcoming dining environment.
The design balances visual impact with simplicity and clarity, ensuring the space supports fast service, ease of use, and a consistent customer experience aligned with the brand’s global standards.
Layout and restaurant functionality
The internal layout was planned to maximise seating efficiency, customer circulation, and staff workflow within a compact footprint. Table configurations, circulation routes, and service zones were carefully arranged to support high customer turnover while maintaining comfort and accessibility.
Integrated mechanical, electrical, and ventilation systems were designed to support individual table grilling, with careful consideration given to safety, performance, and long-term durability. Materials and finishes were selected to withstand intensive daily use while maintaining a cohesive brand appearance.
Delivery and construction
Our team managed the project from early coordination through to completion, delivering construction, interior fit out, and specialist restaurant works within a live central London environment. Detailed attention was given to sequencing, quality control, and health and safety to ensure smooth delivery within a tight programme.
