Project overview
We delivered the full fit out for Kintan Japanese BBQ at Oxford Circus, a contemporary Japanese grill restaurant located in one of London’s busiest retail and dining districts.
The project involved a complete design and build solution, transforming the space into a refined yet welcoming dining environment that reflects Kintan’s brand identity while meeting the operational demands of a high-footfall central London location.
Design and concept
The interior design draws inspiration from traditional Japanese craftsmanship, reinterpreted through a modern, minimal aesthetic. Natural timber finishes, warm lighting, and clean architectural lines were carefully combined to create a calm and immersive dining atmosphere.
Attention was given to material selection and detailing to ensure durability, ease of maintenance, and visual consistency throughout the space. The overall design balances authenticity with contemporary hospitality expectations.
Layout and functionality
The internal layout was carefully planned to support efficient service flow and customer comfort. Bar seating, table arrangements, and circulation routes were optimised to accommodate both intimate dining and higher-capacity service periods.
Integrated lighting and joinery elements enhance spatial definition while maintaining a sense of openness and warmth across the restaurant.
Delivery and construction
Our team managed the project from concept through to completion, coordinating interior design, construction, and specialist trades. Works were delivered with close attention to programme, quality, and compliance, ensuring minimal disruption within a constrained urban site.
