Project overview
We delivered a comprehensive design and build retail fit-out for the Pop Mart flagship store in Amsterdam, located within one of the city’s prime retail areas. The project focused on translating Pop Mart’s distinctive and playful brand identity into a fully functional, visually engaging retail environment tailored to an international audience.
Working within a prominent city-centre location, our team managed the project from early coordination through to completion, ensuring all design, construction, and fit out works were delivered to programme, quality, and operational requirements.
Design and concept
The interior design was developed to express Pop Mart’s strong brand character through a bright, immersive, and contemporary retail experience. Bold colour accents, integrated lighting, and bespoke display elements were combined to create a visually impactful environment that encourages exploration and interaction.
The design balances strong visual identity with clarity of layout, ensuring products remain the focal point while supporting a clear and intuitive customer journey throughout the store.
Layout and retail functionality
The internal layout was carefully planned to optimise visibility, circulation, and merchandising flexibility. Perimeter shelving, feature displays, and central product islands were strategically positioned to maximise customer engagement while maintaining accessibility and clear sightlines.
Joinery, lighting, and finishes were integrated to enhance product presentation and reinforce brand consistency, with materials selected to withstand high footfall and intensive daily use in a flagship retail setting.
Delivery and construction
Our team delivered the project through close coordination of design, construction, and specialist retail works, ensuring smooth execution within a busy urban environment. Careful attention was given to sequencing, quality control, and health and safety throughout the delivery process.
