Project overview
We delivered a full design and build restaurant fit-out for a Japanese BBQ restaurant located in the heart of Chinatown, London. The project focused on creating a contemporary dining environment that supports the operational demands of Japanese BBQ dining while providing a comfortable and engaging customer experience.
From early planning through to completion, our team coordinated design development, construction, and interior fit-out works to ensure the project was delivered to programme, quality, and regulatory requirements within a busy city-centre location.
Design and concept
The interior design was developed to reflect modern Japanese dining principles through a clean, functional, and understated aesthetic. Natural timber finishes, textured wall surfaces, and simple geometric detailing were combined with integrated lighting to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
The design balances visual clarity with practicality, ensuring the space feels contemporary and refined while remaining robust enough to support high-volume daily operation.
Layout and restaurant functionality
The internal layout was carefully planned to optimise seating capacity, customer circulation, and staff workflow. Table arrangements, circulation routes, and service zones were configured to support efficient movement and minimise disruption during peak trading periods.
Mechanical, electrical, and ventilation systems were fully integrated to support Japanese BBQ cooking requirements, with particular attention given to safety, performance, and long-term durability. Materials and finishes were selected to withstand intensive use while maintaining a consistent and high-quality appearance.
Delivery and construction
Our team managed the project from early coordination through to completion, delivering construction, interior fit-out, and specialist restaurant works within a live urban environment. Careful attention was given to sequencing, quality control, and health and safety to ensure smooth delivery.
