Project overview
We delivered the refurbishment and interior fit-out of the Haidilao Hotpot restaurant located at The O2, London. This high-profile project involved transforming the existing restaurant space into a modern, efficient, and immersive dining environment that reflects Haidilao’s globally recognised brand and service-led experience.
Located within one of London’s busiest entertainment destinations, the project required careful coordination to ensure minimal disruption to surrounding operations while achieving a high-quality finish within programme and budget.
Design and refurbishment approach
The refurbishment was designed to enhance both customer comfort and operational efficiency, while maintaining the distinctive identity of the Haidilao brand. A clean and contemporary interior palette was combined with bespoke joinery, integrated lighting, and durable finishes suited to high-volume dining environments.
The design prioritised clarity of layout and visual consistency, ensuring the restaurant feels welcoming and organised while supporting Haidilao’s premium customer service standards.
Layout and restaurant functionality
The internal layout was reconfigured to optimise seating arrangements, circulation, and staff workflow. Table configurations were carefully planned to accommodate hotpot cooking requirements, with integrated mechanical and electrical systems designed to support safe and efficient operation.
Particular attention was given to ventilation, durability of materials, and ease of maintenance, ensuring the restaurant performs effectively during peak service periods while retaining a refined and consistent appearance.
Delivery and construction
Our team managed the project from early coordination through to completion, delivering refurbishment works, interior fit-out, specialist joinery, and M&E installations within a complex live environment. Sequencing, quality control, and health and safety were carefully managed throughout the build.
