We delivered the full design and build fit out for Kintan Japanese BBQ, a flagship Japanese yakiniku restaurant located in Oxford Circus, London. The project encompassed both the front-of-house dining environment and the complete back-of-house commercial kitchen, requiring close coordination between design intent, operational efficiency, and build quality.

The interior concept draws on traditional Japanese design principles, interpreted through a contemporary lens to suit a high-profile London dining destination. Natural timber finishes, refined material palettes, and warm ambient lighting were carefully integrated to create a calm, immersive atmosphere that enhances the yakiniku dining experience while meeting the expectations of a premium hospitality brand.

Alongside the dining areas, we designed and constructed a fully compliant commercial kitchen tailored to the operational needs of a high-volume Japanese restaurant. The kitchen layout was planned to support efficient workflows, safe food preparation, and seamless coordination between chefs and front-of-house teams. Ventilation, extraction, and specialist kitchen systems were integrated as part of the overall design and build programme to ensure performance, compliance, and long-term durability.

The overall layout was carefully planned to optimise customer flow, enhance table-side interaction, and create distinct seating zones for both intimate dining and larger group bookings. Attention was given to spatial comfort, acoustic balance, and service efficiency throughout the restaurant.
